A farm house located on picturesque Bell Island, the design goal was to open up the floor plan throughout the home, introduce significantly more natural light and to emphasize the views of the estuary and Long Island Sound. In the kitchen, perimeter cabinets by Wood-Mode feature flush-panel inset doors and a smart black-painted finish which anchors the bright white subway tile on the exterior walls. References to the home’s beachy surroundings are subtle: the hardware mimics boat cleats, rugged barn beams recall driftwood and blue window frames pair up with the watery expanses they outline.
