A transitional design with a formal twist.
Located directly on the beach in beautiful Westbrook, Connecticut. Iris Michaels was keen on incorporating large windows throughout the kitchen so the home owner could enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean. The homeowner requested very deep counters (30-32″) as well as a bar area, which Iris achieved by creating a design focused on 2 large islands, one of which a bar with two tier counters.
While houses on the beach are normally very casual in design, this home had a formal twist consisting of a dining table and crystal chandelier. To compliment the formal elements of this house, Iris incorporated a tall pantry with a textured leather feel, trimmed in stainless, as well as a neolith backsplash and countertops.
