In New Canaan, Amy Eisenberg brought together warm white oak, painted perimeter cabinetry, and a dedicated blue-gray bar with glass-front storage — the mixed-finish approach that gives the project its name. Zellige tile lines the sink wall, a veined stone slab sits behind the range, and brass fixtures carry through the pendants, sconces, and faucets. Just off the kitchen, a deep teal-green library extends the living space, with a cushioned window seat and floor-to-ceiling shelving for a quieter, book-lined retreat.
